>>> Acne Scars Pits

Acne Scars Pits! Winter is practically here and even though the thought of hot soup and nourishing stews is mouth-watering, the dry itchy skin that accompanies the colder weather isnt so appealing.

But what's about winter that can bring the itches out?

Quite simply, oahu is the drop in humidity which causes skin to reduce moisture. Then the heater is released, increase that long hot showers and baths followed by rugging up in the wintertime woollies. These all impact skin, making conditions for example acne, cold sores, flaking and eczema worse.

And if youve ever suffered these conditions, you will be aware how horrendous it can be and that youd do literally everything to stop the itch.

If this is how we feel, how must a babys skin be feeling? Babies cant tell us that they are uncomfortable in most cases it isnt prior to the skin has erupted in eczema that its evident there is a problem. What is even worse is that babys, who already have very sensitive skin, are more prone to skin problems, particularly in the winter months.

As the key function of the skin is to control infection, by implementing a strict skincare routine that keeps your babys skin moisturised constantly, you can lower their probability of future skin infections.

So the secrets is - moisturise, moisturise, moisturise, and prevent triggers that could aggravate their sensitive skin, beginning with bath time.

Bath time bliss

Babies don't require daily bathing in winter as this can further dry their skin by detaching the natural oils necessary for protection and preventing an eczema outbreak.

Follow the bathtub time routine below, to ensure your babys skin stays smooth, supple and itch-free.

1.Use lukewarm water and make bath time with a maximum of five minutes.

2.Use bath goods that are soap free, fragrance free and low foaming. Either make use of a bath wash or bath oil that's suitable for sensitive skin. With so many products on the market you may need to consider using a few until you find one which is suitable to your needs.

Remember bubbles are trouble.

3.Dont use sponges since the friction can irritate the skin and trigger an eczema outbreak. Use only soft cotton wash cloths or better still make use of hands to completely clean baby but do not rub your skin.

4.Pat babys skin partially dry with a soft cotton towel, do not rub.

Apply moisturiser within two to five minutes after bathing to lock in moisture and stop dryness. This will also reduce eczema flare ups. Use a moisturiser which includes no fragrance or essential oils and is ideal for sensitive skin.

Once again, considering the variety of products available on the market you may need to get one of these few and soon you find one that is certainly suitable in your needs.

5.Remember moisturise, moisturise, moisturise a total minimum of two times a day up to 4x a day.

6.If baby includes a prescribed eczema cream then apply this depending on product instructions or doctors directions to eczema patches.

7.Dress baby in breathable clothing fabrics like cotton or bamboo and make certain baby is not overheated.

What else can I do?

1.Try to avoid the heater or simply have it to heat up the room after which switch it off. Try using a humidifier to include moisture towards the air. You can purchase these from a pharmacy or baby retailer.

2.When dressing baby, follow cotton garments and if you do have woollen jumpers dont allow babys skin to get direct contact. Unfortunately wool is a big trigger for babys eczema.

3.When washing babys clothes avoid fabric softeners and perfumed washing powders. Look for hypo allergenic detergents and wash at 60 degrees to kill dustmites.

4.When putting baby to bed avoid over heating baby using a doona and rehearse blankets instead.

With quicks steps, by making moisturiser your best friend, it is possible to help baby beat winter itch.
